I believe that it is my responsibility to be committed and to advocate on behalf of all my clients in order to help them reach their highest potential. I understand the importance of working with a client holistically in a collaborative manner which I believe is essential in order to build and maintain a therapeutic relationship that progresses forward. Therapy is a very personal experience and I am grateful to be a part of your journey.
Areas of Expertise & Interest
I have a passion to work with women, children, adolescents and families. I often utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy through a Client-Centered lens, as well as use a range of other therapies depending on the clients specific needs. I have experience working with children and adolescents with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Anger Management, Family/Relational Issues, Anxiety, and Depression.
In addition, I am trained and have experience in working with both children and adults with OCD and other complex anxiety disorders.
In my free time I enjoy playing tennis, baking, and reading.
Experience & Training
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Science from The Ohio State University, and obtained my Master’s in School and Community Counseling at Loyola University Chicago. Through my training at Loyola Community and Family Services, I gained experience working with children, adolescents, and families in both the community and school setting. I have a Professional Educator License and have experience working as a School Counselor. Additionally, I have experience working with adults in an Eating Recovery Center/Mood and Anxiety residential setting as a Behavioral Health Counselor.
