Treatment Philosophy

As a therapist, my goal is to walk alongside my clients in their path towards growth and healing. I believe that therapy is an incredible opportunity to learn about yourself and your life story in a safe, accepting and non-judgemental environment. I recognize that my clients are the experts on their own lives, and my role as a therapist is to collaborate with you to identify your goals and values. Together, we will work towards meeting your goals and developing the life and relationships you strive for.

As a social worker, social justice is at the core of my practice. I work with individuals to explore how their experiences are shaped by their identity, environment and relationships. I use a gender-affirming, sex-positive, anti-diet approach with clients.

  • I enjoy working with young adults, adolescents, adults and children. I use a strengths-based approach to support individuals in navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, social and relationship struggles, gender and sexuality, body image, self compassion, work/academic stress and life transitions. I am an integrative therapist, and draw from a variety of therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Motivational Interviewing.

I am also interested in the intersection of mental and physical health and integrate mindfulness and movement into my work with clients.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time in nature, learning to play the guitar and watching documentaries. On any given weekend, you will find me on the lakefront or exploring different neighborhoods in Chicago. I also like watching reality TV shows with my dog, Guthrie.

  • I completed a master of arts degree in social work from the University of Chicago. I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Northwestern University. Prior to my clinical training, I worked in youth development programming and classroom learning in Chicago Public Schools. For my clinical training, I worked with runaway youth on a national crisis hotline and provided individual therapy to children, adolescents and young adults at a community mental health center. I am a certified Vinyasa Yoga teacher and I'm currently training to become a certified Intuitive Eating Counselor.
