About Susan

SUSAN KOGAN, LCPC

My name is Susan, and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor at Glenview Counseling Group with extensive experience providing trauma‑informed, evidence‑based psychotherapy and clinical supervision.

As an approved clinical supervisor, I specialize in supporting provisionally licensed clinicians (LPCs) as they develop their professional identity, strengthen their clinical skills, and work toward full licensure. I find passion in helping new clinicians find their path and grow into confident, grounded therapists.

I bring years of experience across outpatient and community settings and enjoy blending practical skill-building with reflective conversations. My supervision style is collaborative and supportive, focused on strengthening clinical judgment, exploring case dynamics, and navigating the real‑life challenges that arise in early professional practice. I aim to create a supervision space that feels safe, honest, and growth‑oriented—where clinicians feel empowered to build confidence, deepen competence, and deliver high‑quality care.

In addition to supervision, I maintain an active clinical caseload working with adults and couples navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship concerns. I draw from CBT, ACT, mindfulness‑based interventions, and relational approaches, tailoring treatment to each client’s needs.

My focus in supervising new counselors is to help them develop their clinical voice, refine their skills, and build a strong professional identity. Through weekly supervision, clinicians have a space to feel grounded, challenged, and supported as they grow.

Whether in the therapy room or the supervision space, I show up with authenticity, curiosity, and a genuine investment in helping people thrive—both clients and emerging clinicians alike.
