Exposure & Response Prevention
Traveling Intensive Lecture Series
About the Training:
This program is a two-day, intensive, in-person training that can be brought directly to your organization, city or region. This immersive workshop offers clinicians the chance to dive deep into ERP techniques—covering what ERP is, the key stages and phases of treatment, and how to implement these interventions effectively with clients presenting with OCD and various anxiety disorders.
The training integrates evidence-based theory with real-life clinical application, including:
Core principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and how ERP fits within this framework
Practical strategies for assessing and conceptualizing cases grounded in real clinical presentations
Developing exposure hierarchies and managing treatment-interfering behaviors
Application of ERP across presentations such as social anxiety, specific phobia, panic/agoraphobia, and comorbid anxiety profiles
Participants will also benefit from opportunities to discuss clinical challenges and case examples. Each trainee will also receive virtual case consultation with the presenter to be used within one year of completing the program.
This program is appropriate for psychologists, social workers, professional counselors, marriage and family therapists, and other licensed clinicians who are interested in treating OCD and anxiety disorders or wish to expand their expertise in evidence-based interventions. Continuing education credits may be sponsored through local or regional partners depending on availability.

Testimonials
““Michael’s ERP training was one of the most helpful and engaging trainings I have attended! I appreciated the in-person, small-group, interactive format, making it feel more like a collaborative learning space than a lecture. This provided plenty of opportunities to ask questions, share experiences, and engage in discussion and partner work. The material was presented clearly and in depth, covering not only the basics of what CBT-ERP is, but also breaking down how to provide cognitive and behavioral interventions, treatment planning, and what diagnoses this treatment can help with. Michael provided assessment scales and resources that have been extremely helpful in my work with clients to this day. Additionally, the consultation offered after the training was incredibly supportive and clinically useful as well. I felt encouraged, guided, and much more confident bringing ERP into my clinical practice. I would absolutely recommend this training to other clinicians looking for knowledge and guidance on how to do ERP work with clients!””

““Michael and I have been colleagues and collaborators since 2010. He is a skilled clinician who is dedicated to administering ERP and other evidence-based treatments in an effective and compassionate manner for those with OCD and Anxiety Disorders. Mike is also an excellent teacher and incorporates his sense of humor any time he presents, making the learning enjoyable. He does an excellent job of explaining concepts in a clear, down-to-earth way, and teaches therapists skills they can incorporate into their clinical work right away.””
