Illinois Social Workers and Professional Counselors may earn Continuing Education credits by completing any of our trainings.  If you are licensed in a different field please check with your regulating body to see if our trainings meet the requirements for your professional education credits.

Exposure & Response Prevention Comprehensive Training

Presented by Michael Blumberg, LCPC

  • Please join us for an in-person comprehensive training regarding the use of Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP) therapy. This training will cover everything you need to know about beginning to implement ERP techniques effectively in your practice.

    Together we will explore the following:

    • What is CBT

    • What is ERP

    • Stages of treatment

    • Phases of treatment

    • Treatment of OCD

    • Treatment of Social Anxiety Disorder

    • Treatment of Specific Phobia

    • Treatment of Panic Disorder

    • Treatment of Agoraphobia with Panic

    • Information about treatment of other disorders & emerging research

    Each participant will also receive a free one-hour private case consultation with the presenter to be used within one year after the presentation.

The Known & The Unknown: Practicing Experiential Depth Psychotherapy

  • Please join us for an in-person training regarding practicing experiential depth psychotherapy. This training will cover what you need to know to begin implementing these techniques effectively in your practice.

    At the conclusion of this training attendees will be able to:

    • Define the structure of awareness and the parts of awareness.

    • Identify known and unknown aspects of one's experience.

    • Describe behaviors or signals one might observe when at the edge.

    • State the purpose of problems from a depth persective.

Alchemical Couples Therapy: A Depth Psychological Perspective

Presented by Dr. Lisa Roth, PhD, LCPC

  • About the Training:

    This 2.5-hour training explores couples therapy with a depth psychological perspective using Jung’s alchemical process as a container for couple’s therapy work. Participants will learn about the stages of the alchemical process, how it lends itself to couple’s work and how to integrate this frame with other therapeutic modalities.

    By the end of this program, participants will be able to:

    1. Describe the psychological alchemical progress as it applies to couple’s therapy.

    2. Explain the stages of the Jung’s alchemical process.

    3. Apply principles to couple’s work to expand expertise and to integrate depth psychological practices.

    About Our Presenter:

    Dr. Lisa Roth is a depth psychologist, expressive arts therapist, death doula, and therapeutic trainer/facilitator who has been working in the field for 26 years in various roles, venues and organizations.

    Dr. Roth is a proponent and trainer for trauma-informed care and has worked exclusively with the Sanctuary model, creating psychological safe spaces for clients, clinicians, community partners and stakeholders. She is currently creating an expressive arts group facilitation manual for practitioners and community leaders.

    Intermediate to advanced. Appropriate for mental health professionals with foundational clinical experience seeking a new way to view, practice and hold the work of couple’s therapy. You do not need to be a couple’s therapist to attend.

Prolonged Exposure Therapy for Trauma Survivors with PTSD

Presented by Jason Moser, PhD

  • Please join us for an in-person comprehensive training regarding the use of Prolonged Exposure (PE) therapy. This training will cover everything you need to know to begin implementing PE techniques effectively in your practice.

    At the conclusion of this training:

    • Participants will be able to appreciate varied definitions of trauma

    • Participants will be able to identify common reactions to trauma

    • Participants will be able to describe the natural recovery processes from trauma

    • Participants will be able to identify common challenges to the natural recovery process following trauma

    • Participants will be able to define posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

    • Participants will be able to describe the core elements of prolonged exposure (PE) therapy for PTSD

    • Participants will be able to summarize the efficacy and effectiveness of PE for PTSD

    • Participants will be able to identify common challenges to implementing PE for PTSD

    • Participants will develop a beginning understanding of tailoring PE for PTSD for different clients and in different treatment settings
